Wedding Ring Snowbear copy

The groom's pocket can be a treasure trove of photographic goodies. Here I used "found objects" to enhance my ring shot. I asked the groom to empty his pockets and voila! Some coins and Snowbear...people who live down south would be familiar...Snowbear is the best candy ever produced! IMHO! hahaha

Enjoy!

Church: Dauis Church
Preps & Reception: Panglao Island Nature Resort

TTD 2 face copy

I had the opportunity to shoot Kim & Cindy for their Bohol wedding. They were quite young and hip and wanted a Bohol wedding photographer who can explore. So I did a "Trash the Dress" session with them right after the church ceremonies.

The day had started with a fickle weather already. It drizzled slightly in the morning but the sun had shone nicely that afternoon. But come late afternoon, the rain was torrential - almost a storm. All the plans I had for their post-ceremony shoot was gone and had to think fast and sure. I had thought we would do a sunset shoot by the beach already but the setting sun was nowhere to be found.

Thinking quick, we still headed for the beach in dark and did a TTD shoot amidst the thrashing waves. The couple were so cooperative and we had a blast. It was still raining then so we finished quick. My camera was a bit wet, needless to say.

The photos above are some of my early edits and loved it. Amazed really. And quite humbled by the experience as well. As a photographer, I learned that I could only do as much. Beauty really should come from the subject. It is only up to the photographer to capture the moment if only to record it to be cherished for years to come.

Thanks for the opportunity, Kim and Cindz.

Kim & Cindy are a couple from Tacloban who both chose Bohol as the venue for their wedding. Why not! Bohol has beautiful churches, wonderful sceneries and great photographers!hehehe

The couple will tie the knot tomorrow at the magnificent Dauis Church. Reception to follow at Panglao Island Nature Resort. :)

Aldner & Michelle's Digital Storybook Album

Although the couple had not include an album with their wedding photography package, the husband Aldner had ordered this after the wedding, without Michelle knowing it. It was supposedly Aldner's surprise for his wife on her birthday last August. And well, as was expected, Michelle cried with joy as soon as she received the gift.

Used for weddings, the digital storybook may be used for any other purpose or events though. It is a perfect gift to your loved ones (or even to yourself). The digital storybook album is a collection of beautiful photos which can last for many years to come because of its durability.

Order yours now! Please text or call 0921-570-6574 for more details.

Our second "Bohol Tour" prenup was also of a couple from abroad. We had this prenup last July 23, 2007 just a few days before the couple's wedding. It was the groom's first time to actually be touring Bohol so he was pretty excited. The bride is a Boholano, from Talibon, was naturally excited for her husband-to-be.

Browsing through my online album, I realized that there are some photos that needed posting. This series is particularly important since this was our first "Bohol Tour" prenuptial. Jay and Marle - charming couple - just came back from abroad for their wedding and were all too busy with preparations and stuff. So I think this tour/shoot was a welcomed breather for both of them to shave some stress off their tired shoulders.

What makes prenups particularly exciting is watching a shy couple grow into overly enthusiatic models. I mean, at first, they'd be camera-shy but at the end of the day, they'll be the ones to ask for shots and poses. Come wedding day, for sure, there won't be shy moments anymore. :)

Some times difficult challenges in wedding photography are the simple ones. Tres and Sharona were wed in a simple civil wedding officiated by the mayor of Tagbilaran City. The event took place right at the mayor's office at the city hall.

Just before the couple went off, I called them over to the side of the city hall to take a quick shot of this beautiful image.

This clip was played during the reception of Jay & Marle's wedding last January 2007. As we had wanted it to be, the couple and their guests were deeply moved as they saw their old photos sliding across the big screen. (Running time: 8 mins) -- posted by Ryan Macalandag
