Bohol Wedding ResourceBoholWeddings.com an online resource guide for everything wedding in Bohol is now online. The website lists all the wedding suppliers in Bohol (including us!) and posts articles about planning a wedding, tips on budgeting a wedding, new trends in wedding, destinations and locations for a great wedding venue.

Produced by our very own Ryan Macalandag, one of Bohol's premiere wedding photographers, the site is a timely response to the great need for wedding suppliers to have a venue to connect with clients online.

If you are an engaged couple looking into celebrating your wedding here in Bohol, please visit BoholWeddings.com. The site will be a definite great help in the tedious process (but fun!) process of wedding preparations.

Wedding Photography by Ryan Macalandag
Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines

Here are some photos from Eumir and Darlene's wedding last Friday (8/8/08). The preps were done at the MetroCentre Hotel and the wedding held in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.

I didn't really know the couple as I had only seen them during the day of the wedding. They were clients of CreativImage who were doing the video.

The room they got (for the bridal preparations) was huge. It was one of the suites on the 8th floor and had a huge window. The pink curtains and the blue walls messed up our white balance though. And the number people present made the room small. Nonetheless, me and my second photographer, Jude Montejo, had fun though.

The grooms room was a lot smaller but with the few people there, the shoot was a breeze.

Ryan Li and Joel Diccion, two of Bohol's top videographers also had a great time shooting especially with their new "toys" they were using.

The bride, Darlene, is from Palawan. She flew in with her sister and parents.

Anxiously waiting for the elevator to come up. Wedding starts at 9am and this wedding was already running late (as with most other weddings!)

Waiting for people to arrive, weddings are usually late. That's why priests who get mad for late weddings leave a bad taste in people's mouths.

Prenuptial Photography by Ryan Macalandag
Panglao, Bohol, Philippines

Francis and Grace Prenup

Together with Jude Montejo, my assistant photographer and Ryan Li of CreativImage Videography (he was trying out his brand-spankin-new Glidecam 4000), we had our first prenuptial photo session for this month.

Francis and Grace will be married on the 16th of this month and we are doing the wedding photography for them. Preparations will be at Bohol Tropics as well as the reception. The wedding ceremony will be held at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in K of C Drive.

For their prenup, we went to the beautiful island of Panglao to look for locations. First, we went to Bohol Bee Farm in Dauis. Beautiful and serene place. The Bee Farm is a hotel and restaurant owned by the "Miss Organic" herself, Vicky Wallace.

These marigold flowers are grown here in the farm. They are used for decorations as well as for their famed fresh garden salad. Yum!

The new deck (or new to me at least, this wasn't here before) offers a relaxing retreat for visitors. It is constructed off the seas rocky-cliff edge.

A quick dip wouldav been nice but we were busy at work -- or at least the couple were! :)

After a quick glass of fruit shakes (mine was banana), we all hurried off to the other side of the island in Doljo Point as the sun was setting fast.

Along the way, we saw the setting sun majestic as it was. It was quick. When we got to the place, what was left was an eerily glorious afterglow. The sky was a canvas of peaceful blue and a splotch of reds and oranges was what remained of the sun that had just set.

It was really beautiful. When we finished it was already dark. We went back to the city for dinner at Jo's Chicken Inato (Payag Restaurant).

Fun day! -Ryan Macalandag
